Schemes

There are various schemes to help solve the childcare benefit problems. Read more about all schemes.

Catshuis Childcare Benefit Scheme

All affected parents will receive €30,000 as soon as possible.

O/GS compensation

This restoration scheme is meant for parents who rightly had to pay back money, but were wrongly accused of having engaged in wilful misconduct or gross negligence. 

Hardship scheme

The hardship scheme is meant for parents who have run into problems due to an excessively strict application of the rules.

Compensation scheme

This scheme is intended for parents who have been treated in a biased manner by the Dutch Tax and Customs Administration/Toeslagen.

Child scheme

Recovering from the childcare benefit issue is primarily a matter for the parents, but children and young people have also suffered. The child scheme has been set up for them.

Former allowance partner scheme

An former partner can also be an affected parent. Childcare benefit is applied for by one parent. And the restoration of what went wrong also involves one parent: the applicant.

Surviving relatives scheme

The surviving relatives scheme is in place to ensure that the deceased claimant's benefit partner and children can move forward with help and support. This scheme is also there for the surviving relatives of deceased children.

Healthcare benefit, rent benefit and supplementary child benefit

The same mistakes have sometimes been made with healthcare benefit, rent benefit and supplementary child benefit.

The Committee on Actual Damages

The Committee on Actual Damages can look into whether you are entitled to additional compensation beyond the compensation you have already received.
