End of assessment at UHT
UHT's assessment of your childcare benefit is complete. We hope you have gained more clarity on your situation. We can imagine you still have questions. On this page, you can see how things are progressing.
Pausing debts ending
During the assessment, your debts to the government were paused. This pause is ending now that your review is complete. From January 2024, Dienst Toeslagen and the Belastingdienst will ask parents who have finished their assessment at UHT to start paying their debts again. You will receive a letter about this. You do not have to pay or repay until you receive a letter, but you can do so earlier. You can read how to do this on Dienst Toeslagen website.
Contact with Dienst Toeslagen and the Belastingdienst
Now that your assessment has been completed, contact with UHT also stops. From now on, you will again be in direct contact with Dienst Toeslagen and the Belastingdienst. Even if you need help, for example. Since you may have had to wait a long time for your assessment, we understand if you no longer know whether you have debts to pay. In that case, also contact Dienst Toeslagen and the Belastingdienst. Together you will find a solution that suits your situation. More information can be found on Dienst Toeslagen website.
You can also get help now
Just because the process is completed at UHT does not mean you are on your own from now on. You can also get help after your assessment. Perhaps you feel the need to connect with other parents. In that case, take a look at Stichting Lotgenotencontact. And you can contact your local authority. They offer help with finances, family, work, housing and care. They will also put you in touch with local social workers if necessary.
Questions on ending the pause
Do you have questions about ending the pause or your benefits? If so, call the Tax Information Line. 0800 - 0543 (domestic) or +31 555 385 385 (abroad). The BelastingTelefoon can be reached Monday to Thursday from 8am to 8pm and Friday from 8am to 5pm.
Authorisations ending
Earlier in the process at UHT, did you authorise someone to speak for you or receive all the correspondence? That authorisation stops now that your assessment is complete. Unless you have filed an objection. Or if you have reported to the Commissie Werkelijke Schade. In that case, this authorisation will not stop until that is completed.
Would you like an authorised representative for your regular business with Dienst Toeslagen and the Belastingdienst? If so, you will need to authorise someone again. This may be the same representative as for UHT, but different conditions apply. Please note: you may then have to make a personal contribution or pay other costs yourself.
Always report changes
Has your situation changed? If so, you must communicate changes via www.toeslagen.nl/aanpassen. If you start working less, for example. Or if your children go to the nursery for an extra day.
